I’m determined to help slow the spread of Coronavirus.  I think it’s very important that health care professionals, the team on the front lines, have the proper protection.  That’s why I’ve dedicated my ‘gift of time’ during quarantine to sewing cloth facemasks.

If you have to venture out of the house into the general public, having something over your face helps protect, not only yourself, but also more importantly others around you from cough, sneezes and respiratory droplets.

I am so happy that I can put my talents to use and provide you with a hand made cloth mask.

All efforts are being made to get a mask in your hand as soon as humanly possible.  Each mask is made from scratch,  So, I humbly ask for your patience in getting your order ready for you.  I’m avoiding social media, email and all other distractions so that I can focus on making as many masks and protecting as many lives as possible.

 

About the Mask I Will Make for You:

These are NOT N95 NIOSH approved masks, and they do not have pockets.

My inspiration comes from all of the medical heroes out there and I take great care when producing these masks to ensure they remain germ-free and sanitary so they can be used anywhere, including hospitals.

I’ve been social distancing since before it was cool (March 15, 2020) and been quarantined, in my home, not seeing any visitors.

You should know, we have a dog in our home, but he is not allowed upstairs, where I sew and the house is smoke and tobacco free.  The material used is 100% cotton and any fabric that comes in contact with your face has been pre-washed with Tide and dried in a hot drier without fabric softeners.

These masks are both washable and reversible.  I recommend hand washing the mask using your laundry detergent of choice and laying the mask flat to dry.

How Can You Help Me:

Most importantly, you could donate money for supplies via my ‘donate now’ button.  While I’m not charging for my time, supplies can get quite costly.

It would bring me great joy to see how my efforts are helping.  I would LOVE to see a photo of you wearing your mask on Instagram!  Be sure I see it by tagging me I’m @KatMackPhotos.  If I made masks for you and your family or you and your medical team, a group photo would really make my day. 

How to Request a Mask:

Your request will not be submitted for fulfillment until I have a completed order request AND a pre-paid mailing label.  Current turnaround time is 3-7 days.

A few more volunteers just joined the team to help with sewing and order fulfillment, so we are working to get orders out the door more quickly.  Please be patient.  We are working as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

Due to safety concerns, I will no longer allow pickups from my front porch.  Every order request MUST generate a pre-paid mailing label from the United State Postal Service and I’ll take care of the rest.

Once you have the PDF of your mailing label, email it to katmackphotography@yahoo.com be sure to put MASK MAILING LABEL-YOUR NAME in the subject line.

 

Unfortunately, supplies are scarce at the time and I cannot make any custom orders. Somewhere down the line, when supplies are more readily available, I’d love to produce custom masks.  Today is not that day.
